Great little short story collection!
"I actually laughed out loud reading some of the stories. Two of my faves were The Disappearance and Split the difference. Good variety of sci-fi and horror, and an odd one about a car. All in all a good page turner, will read more from this author if they write something else. I recommend for a giggle."

Good question, on the books L.T. Farrell writes for children and families, she places Bert the Pigeon. If Bert is not on the front cover, the book will have swear words and adult themes. If Bert is on the front cover, rest assured the book is fine for kids and adults who prefer not to read rude words.
About L.T. Farrell
L.T. Farrell writes in many genres including speculative fiction and sci-fi. But, no matter the genre, they all feature wry salt-of-the-earth character narratives. She has written many short stories and some of which she used to create her debut book Spilled Worlds. She is already planning another collection.
She also writes silly poetry and serious poetry when the mood takes her. She is currently thinking of writing a science fiction or fantasy book in poetic form. Think of the Epic of Gilgamesh and this is the projection of her thoughts.
Her journey began on a Commodore 64, quite a few years ago, although many things have moved on since then; the love of writing has always remained the same.
She was inspired by movies like Event Horizon mixed with Spike Milligan; add a splash of Blackadder and the spark was created. Fuelling a journey into curiosity fiction, speculative twists, logical conclusions and a little bit of comedy. Now, these stories which have been rewritten for the modern day are being unleashed onto the world—regardless of whether the world wants them or not.
And of course there are plenty of new stories being written too, she's a busy bee.
L.T. Farrell hails from Southend-on-Sea in Essex and lives with her adult son, who loved her silly stories and poems growing up. Plus a dog and two cats.
Living with Disabilities
L.T. Farrell has quite a few disabilities, which is probably why "I spend a lot of time in my head" as she puts it. Over the years she has created worlds and pondered life as a philosopher would. She would have published books many years ago if she had not been dealing with bipolar disorder, which she still has to manage. However, at the beginning of 2026, she had an epiphany and thought, “I’m going to publish my writings.” And she did, and you are seeing the results.
She also has physical problems too, so it is safe to say she is a bit of a recluse, as most of the time she is battling a myriad of issues. But, she dislikes labels, so let's just say she has a complex existence.
Writing has been a lifeline for her. She wants to let others know who have been thinking about their dreams and have thought they can’t because of such and such, that it is achievable. Don’t let others or yourself say you can’t. Admittedly, L.T. Farrell wasn’t ready years ago, but she is now, and following her dreams before she leaves this planet is what she currently lives for.
She may even write a book on managing mental illness, although she is not sure if she wants to go there yet, so you’ll have to make do with fiction and silly poetry.
